Does anyone else just think that "food store" just sounds wrong? Has anyone actually ever used that term? "Honey, we need milk, i'm gonna run down to the food store"

Only reason I clicked on this thread is because of how odd "food store" sounded. I wasn't sure what type of place that would be...
I've definitely never thought to call a grocery store a food store. That sounds like a clue for $1000 pyramid or catch phrase.
Or something someone would say when high and they blank on what a grocery store is called... "You know... the place you go to get food... not a restaurant... but like, a food store."
Me too. I leave my living box, get into my motor conveyance and hit up the food store for some flour pads and pork slices so I can have a nice midday chew at labor place.
