George H.W. Bush was the first president that I can really remember growing up. It’s always good to see people from both parties coming to pay their respects when a beloved politician passes.
Not a day of mourning, but celebration. I know he will be missed by his kids, grandkids and great grandkids, but he has earned his rest and will rejoice in a reunion with his beloved partner and long lost daughter.
Thank you Mr. President for your gracious and humble service to your country.

Hey, if you're expecting a presidency without missteps, you're living in a fantasy land. Bush certainly made his fair share. But on the whole, Bush left the world a better place than he found it. And he did so with the kind of grace and dignity that we desperately miss today.
I didn't vote for him or care for his party, but he was a genuine WW2 hero, enlisted as the second youngest (army?) aviator in the war & then survived being shot down in the Pacific when he could've just gone to college instead as a well connected rich kid, but he chose country over self. He then branched out on his own as a Texas oil "wildcatter" to make it on his own terms in a new place instead of just taking a position with his father.
After making a go of it he committed to a life of public service when that was still considered a noble thing & seems to have been a decent guy to family & friends. A life well lived. RIP
May the family find peace at this hard time. He was a good man and a good President.
