Their machines are either screwed up or their quality control got recentered.

Hmm, oddly enough I went shopping this past week and decided I should buy some dark chocolate something or other (because dark chocolate apparently is good for us) and thought Hershey-kisses are perfect due to small size. I don't eat candy or sweets because I know it would become a very bad addiction for me.
Long story short, yeah the tips are missing I am eating a tip less one as I type. Yeah, dark chocolate will not be addicting for me.

Those candies could have been made long before the tip problem began. Like... years ago.

Two posts up someone posted an update. They fix the issue. I understand all people complaining about. A lot of people use her she’s kisses at Christmas time as decorative part of their baking. When the tips are broken they’re finished product doesn’t come out looking the same. People just want what they paid for that’s all. Any case Hershey has made adjustments to the machine to eliminate the problem.
It isn't a quality control issue if all the kisses are "damaged". Hershey's bean counter probably suggested that the candy company could save an annual $400,000 by shaving off the chocolate tip.
And that $400,000 would end up with the shareholders, no doubt.
They could halve the size of each Kiss, halve the size of the packets, charge the same price as now, and save even more.
I had some of those tipless Hersey's kisses on some cookies at Christmas. It just about ruined my life. I'm happy that they've fixed the problem cause I'm just about out of the old kisses and I'd hate to ruin Valentines Day.
If you were a baker who's livelyhood depended on the quality control of another company, I doubt you would consider the issue to be so trivial.
Not sure what this issue has to do with how drinkable water is in another country... Or do you think humans are so simple, that they cant possibly care about more than one problem at a time?
A professional baker should be able to melt chocolate and make their own Kisses. They could probably make it better than what Hershey's has become anyway. Their chocolate chips don't even melt right any more since they've filled their chocolate with waxes and emulsifiers. They do produce better quality chocolates, but that isn't what they use in their Kisses. Article from 2008 - https://www.today.com/food/chocoholi...ula-2D80555560
This screams viral marketing campaign to me.
