You are in charge of assigning "good reasons" for how other's live thier lives?

It seems some of you are so unbelievably far removed from life, death, and actual involvement in the process of acquiring and processing animals for food, that you have aquired ridiculously sensitive traits in regards to the natural world.

I eat meat and I am not some wacko PETA person, not by a long shot. I would respect this old woman a lot more if she was doing something that actually improved things in some way than just shooting deer. That goes for anyone at any age.

There is a difference between understanding the necessity that animals have to die for one to survive and glorifying the act of killing animals through sport.

She processes the dear for meat, etc. What is wrong about eating venison? Shooting deer does two things. It supplies food and it helps with over population. That is the reason there are licenses for hunting. Have you ever hit a deer with your car?

I haven't yet, but I've come close a few times.

Take a bullet while munching on some salad. Then get back to us.

Til then...it's killing for sport. The cloaked reason that the Hunter is 'helping' keep population down is hogwash.
The deer wouldn't get hit by cars if man didn't intrude on its natural habitat..thru it's modernization.

Are you a vegan or do you get your meat from the "Meat Fairy"? Just because you are naive or don't care how your prepackaged meat gets processed makes you no better or worse than a hunter who processes their food for consumption.

Yet you keep buying your prepacked meats at the grocery.
Your "hogwash" statement simply shines a light on your ignorance.

Never hit a deer. You are comparing an accident to a premeditated act. Getting into car accident is different than running someone off the road. Even if the end result of both is a wrecked car.

Humans are becoming more civilized. Lots of things were commonplace that today are considered barbaric. What happens when you shoot a deer but does not die and it gets away? That does nothing for your two reasons for hunting but the animal suffers a slow and horrendous death.

Hunting isn't a sport.

Where do you get your meat? Are you a vegan? No one seems to want to answer this question.

Have you ever gone fishing? Do you eat fish?

People who hunt and fish and process their catch are doing it for consumption. We just don't think the food fairy miraculously provides food. Enter a slaughterhouse and tell me your observations. Will you still eat meat after that or will you just not look into this and feel good eating your burger and turning a blind eye as to how that meat was processed.
