I'm not so sure. I can subdue an 80 lb. Golden Retriever or a 120 lb. Great Dane or Newfoundland easily.

Which of those are wild felines?

Which of those are wild felines?
They are both 97% wolf chromosomally and have ferocious temperaments.

An 80-120lb dog/wolf whatever you want to call it is not even in the same ballpark as a feline of the same weight. They are killing machines.

Which makes it extremely unfair and one sided taking into account cat owners. Anyone can own even the largest/most aggressive breed of dog with no more than the willingness to obey leash/pet waste laws. Yet one would need both a Federal/State license (if a State even allows it) and possibly a Town or Municipality license, appropriate training, live in an appropriately "rural" area, etc. to own a Bobcat.

Anything larger than a Bobcat/Lynx, etc.? What would one need for that....

Golden retrievers have ferocious temperaments?

Extremely. They whack with their tails, and taste people to decide if they want to bite.

That 3% makes the critical difference(s) between canines and felines.

You are saying is even more ...irrelevant... than saying a Corvette is comparable to a Bugatti because they are both sports cars, while that may technicnally be true... the differences are significant.

Heck, even the most vicious canine, a wolf, still hunts in packs because an 80 pound wolf can ill match an 80 pound feline.

So while apples and oranges are still fruits, they ARE different.
