I'm having a little bit of a hard time feeling much empathy for the 9 year old's mother. In the greatly fuzzed out video, it looks like a beating, but I think that's the 9 year old throwing the punches, after the initial punch at the other mother.

After he punched a kindergartner in the face earlier and made his nose bleed.

Considering how very outraged she was that her son was punched, I'm surprised she doesn't empathize with the feelings of the mother who boarded the bus to protect her kindergartner.

Adults can't hit (other people's) kids. Period. Full Stop.

No surprises here. And what the hello kind of bus driver allowed this to happen???

If the woman is arrested for assault, the 9 year old should be arrested also.

Anyone who even thinks of driving a school bus in the human zoo of contemporary America needs their head examined.

Is there an adult male in that household to teach, and enforce responsible behavior? I'd bet against this.

Adults don't wail on anyone's children for any reason. Period! End of story.

I'd fire that bus driver too. Where was he while the child was being beaten down by that enraged, uncivilized monstrosity?

I can't even believe what passes for human today. I demand a recount.

That parent needs to be charged with more than that.

There are ways of dealing with a 9 year. The kindergartner's parent had been contacted so presumably there was further action that would have been taken by the school. As usual, we don't know the entire story. The 9 year old may be a brat. It's also possible the kindergartner did something to start the fight. Kids will move on and forget about it with proper parenting and adults who act like adults.

My son, now 39, punched a kindergarten classmate who had taken one of his personal toys, a little hot wheels car. Bloodied his nose. Showing no empathy to the thief, his teacher was aghast with my lack of interest.

I simply told her, if someone stole my car, I'd punch them in the nose too!
