Exactly. Some dumbass forgets their kid, so everyone on the flight gets screwed over.

I’m intrigued at the “refusing to continue the flight” bit.
What would she have done if the crew were refused permission to turn around?
Strap on the parachute, (which she never leaves behind)?

Did she have other children with her? I can see - barely see- how an older or middle child in a large
family of stairstep kids could be overlooked, but not a baby!

Does anyone else think this was done purposefully?

So many, many years ago, when I was just a baby in a stroller, my mother forgot about me, leaving me behind at a friend's house after visiting. My mom drove off, got all the way home to a steadily ringing phone. When she picked up, her friend on the other end said, "Ora, I think you forgot something."

At least my mom wasn't on a plane.

Yep. Because how on earth does a mom, of all people, forget their baby. That's nuts!
