With the comment about three sets of twins - presumably identical - I wonder if this was due to fertility drugs or Mother Nature?? Sounds more like the latter...three original eggs, all fertilized, then all divided once, resulting in six embryos.

Most remarkable if that truly is the case.

Probably c-section? Just thinking about the 9 minutes. Most multiples like that are not delivered vaginally. Too risky.

Ok, so how do they know it's three sets of twins and not two sets of triplets, or one set of twins and a set of quadruplets?

Most monozygotic twins share the same placenta. There were probably three placentas, two babies per placenta, in this pregnancy.
