The problem now days is corporate management has done such dumb things, these are perfectly believable. I don't even blink at corporate dumbness anymore.

Yeah, but some things just go too far.. Anyone see this one today?

I usually do a "April Fools" topic, didn't think about it this year, just as an aggregate for all the interesting/funny/dumb April Fools things that come out.

Google used to do one every year.. I haven't heard of them doing one in quite a while. Those were really good because they'd do an April Fools thing for 2 or 3 years, then screw with everyone by announcing something REAL on April 1st. I think GMail was originally announced on April 1st, if I'm not mistaken.

I grew up on olive loaf. It's delicious, unless you don't like green olives.

Even if I were the biggest pickle freak on Earth, and even if it were not April Fool's Day, I would know this was fake.

Because restaurants do not introduce new items unless they have some confidence that it will make money. Pickle burgers will not make money no matter how much I, or some other person with a damaged, pickle-aligned palate may love the monstrous things.

What would be a mean joke is announcing they are going back to making fries using animal fat. They were so good. Or bringing back the original Shamrock shake, to replace the fake corn syrup one. Then saying April Fools. Old people would be smashing the drive thru windows in fury. We remember.
