Was there a third party present to hold both their beers, or did they just hold each other's?

So let me guess this straight - guy puts on vest and says "now shoot me!" second guy does, and it stings like a sob - guy says "OUCH! gimme that gun, now you put the vest on." Second guy puts on vest, turns his back to other guy and says "forget it, I don't want to be shot." First guy shoots his back several times, second guy says "OUCH" a few times and they both go to the hospital for treatment and make up a story.

While amusing and stupid, both of these guys showed way higher iq's than the St Louis cops who shot each other playing their version of russian roulette where the loser gets shot without a vest on.

From the looks of things.. This is just good old fashioned idiocy. If they want to shoot each other and both are fine with it.. More power to them. Let 'em be.. It'll sort itself out fairly quickly.

I can perhaps see charges for the guy who lied to law enforcement.. But, if you want to put on bulletproof vests and shoot each other.. have at it. Just don't whine when it all goes wrong.
Discharge of a firearm within city limits. Thatís a crime.
Brandishing a firearm. Thatís a crime

This didn't happen in the suburbs, have you looked at the map? they were pretty rural. Not excusing moronic behavior, but let's look at this for what it was - a couple of drunks having some fun.

I don't care what the reason is. If you point a loaded gun at someone who isn't trying to kill you, and you pull the trigger, you should go to jail. Stupidity shouldn't be a Get Out Of Jail FREE Card.

No, it's assault with a deadly weapon. The state gets to press charges. They don't need one or the other to press charges.

I sense there is more to the story given the first few paragraphs talking about being hired for $200 to protect someone during a shady meet in the woods
