I've always heard stories of unruly passenger during flight. Thank goodness, I've never experienced it. I think I would be in shock in such a tight space. I've never flown Spirit but that's the main airlines I hear is where the drama happens.

This isn't even too bad considering what I've seen in the news.

The worst I personally witnessed was a mother who had her child sleeping in her lap, refusing to place the child in her seat (next to the mother) in order to land -- simply to prevent the child from waking up. We circled for a little while. Neither the mother or the staff got belligerent and we eventually landed. The mother was met by officers at the gate. I don't know what happened after that. So not that bad at all. It was United Airlines and.... not too surprisingly a flight from Florida (like the one in the OP).

I'm not sure what's worse:

People like that breed, or people like that vote.

That's exhibit 1 of why I'll never go back to flying commercial.

You really need to out more if you think boorish behavior on flights is an American thing.

Brits and Aussies come to mind, as examples.

Wasn't there JUST a "news" story about some British lady jailed in Asia for slapping a security dude at the airport?

None of the women in my neck of the NJ woods and beyond don't even come close to sounding like this woman.

Going by her accent and behavior there's a good chance she's one of NJ's urbanites.
