This is very disgraceful; half a million bees have been killed in a beehive arson in Texas.

What a terrible and senseless criminal act. Why would anyone kill honeybees? Kids looking for a rush? As if the African killer bees don't have enough of a foothold here already. If caught, too bad the punishment won't fit the crime.

I read about this yesterday, and I am furious and heartsick. It's beyond my understanding how people can do this, knowing that bees have been in decline, we need them to pollinate our food crops, and destruction of someone else's business property can be devastating to the owners.

This sounds like ALOT more than just simple arson imo!!

Everyone knows honeybee numbers are dwindling and our own survival is tied to theirs, I have a feeling the person(s) responsible had a larger plan.

At the height of the drought in California, someone sabotaged a small dam on the outskirts of a Bay Area town. All that water rushed down a riverbed into the Bay. I think as the climate crisis and other environmental issues intensify, we may see more of this type of sabotage.
