And that's why nobody gets involved. Looks like it works.

It results in a school social culture that is no better than a maximum security prison, but it works to keep the other inmates from getting involved. And like prison guards, teachers do nothing more than prevent general riots (a shivving now and then between two inmates...not a big deal).

BTW, numerous school districts have been, interestingly, using prison architectural designs for school complexes for a couple of decades now. That's why many newer schools are designed as "blocks."
