She hit, then continued to assault, another student who was minding her own business, while no one intervened to help this poor kid.

Was a teacher in the room? As usual, someone recorded it, though.

Holy shiite, the boys in the video just sat and tried to stay out of the way. One of the girls was looking the other way as though it wasn't even happening. I have a feeling this is a school district that punishes the kid trying to defend themselves or others. So many now require students to call a teacher or another adult rather than intervene.

That video clip made me lose my appetite. I don't care what the school's policy was, human decency would have made most people jump in and at least pull that little heifer off of her. It was sickening to see so many people just watching or turning away.

Bingo.

Especially because so many kids today actually make a point of flouting school policies, anyway.

That's because the girl throwing the punches probably set it up ahead of time with the person doing the recording to put on social media. It's all about how many views you can get on Facebook and YouTube. We've become a nation of media whores.

Most of the kids look clearly uncomfortable; I agree with the poster who says this comes from a lifetime of going to school in an environment where if you defend someone who is being beaten, you're just as guilty and you'll ALL get punished the same.

NO ONE is cheering this on, and no one "doesn't notice" what's happening.

If you read the comments, one pointed out that it was a premeditated assault as the conspirator already had the camera rolling.

Maybe had another distract the teacher out of the room.

So, conspiracy charge against all involved and so forth.

I care what it is because a policy that punishes someone for defending another is illegal, immoral, and likely to cost the taxpayers millions of dollars.
