A violent felon with a rap sheet longer than Sarah Jessica Parker's face opened fire on a CHP officer during a traffic stop, killing the officer but not before he called for backup.

Aaron Luther, "loving father" according to his dingbat wife, was pulled over for driving alone in the car pool lane. He was also being ticketed for an expired license and no registration. The CHP officer was filling out the paperwork to have the felon's truck impounded when Luther pulled out a rifle and killed him.

Of course, convicted felons (especially those who've done a decade in prison for attempted murder) aren't allowed to have a gun, but no one seems to have any idea a-tall how Luther acquired one. No, siree. Never seen that gun before.

Jesus! That window of the felon had 8 kids - 2 of which belong to this dude. The report states that he struggling with drug use and was depressed from losing his job.

Some people should never try alcohol or drugs.

The world is a better place because this guy is no longer in it. I'm only upset he took a cop out with him.

The scumbag's father said something similar, that if his son killed a cop then the son deserved to die.

The father has more sense than the widow.

Video accompanying this story has a retired Marine talking about how he pulled the dingbat (who had gone there to pick up her husband) and two kids out of their car as the bullets were flying.

He also said that during all the shooting, other motorists were getting out of their cars, trying to shoot video. Insane.

Some women (and men, too, of course) are simply delusional. I feel sorry for her kids and, of course, for the family of the officer -- but not so much for her.

Well I suppose some people can seem loving. I mean even Hitler got married and had a dog.

If you kill someone, then you will be judged as a monster. I’m sorry for the officer's family but also for the accused's partner and family.

The CHP that was killed is the nephew of one of my friends from high school. It is so tragic.

I sort of stopped reading when you randomly made a sophomoric, unrelated blast about a celebrity's facial features. What does that have to do with a serious story in which someone was murdered? Do you just want to be Maddox or do you always bury your lead?
