A point many are missing here is that, in the typical fast food drive-thru scenario, the person at the pick-up window is not the person taking the order. He probably doesn't have order-entry hardware capability at his window and may not be trained in that function at all.

The only solution may have been for him to write down the order to the best of his understanding and then walk it back to wherever the order taker was stationed. And he may have been previously told, for any of a host of reasons, to never leave his window without a relief person.

So there may be much more to this than what appears on the surface - what the media always wants to appear on the surface. Wouldn't stop most big companies in this kind of spotlight from firing him anyway....to quiet the media mob.

That's a stretch but even so doesn't explain the return shouting and the imitation hand-signing to mock her.

It's clear that you've never paid even casual attention to a fast food operation.

It was 4am, it was probably him and one other person at most. Again, the inside of the restaurant was long closed.

Also he could have told her that (remember she reads lips) if that were the case, instead he said "no" and repeatedly told her "Go. Go. Go" before he started mocking her mannerisms and the way she communicates.

This does sound odd right? Bad behavior can cut both ways unfortunately.

Just another day in the poly-cultural Bay Area.

A patchwork of cultures that talk to each other little and understand each other less.

I donít think culture played a role. In which culture is it OK to argue with customers and mock their disabilities?

In ten states, women almost 18 are denied the right to have sex with a consenting partner of their choice.

There is no other jurisdiction on earth that obstructs women's freedom to such a high age. How do girls magically mature two years faster in West Memphis, than in Memphis? Because we give them the encouragement to test their maturity, instead of holding them back with some silly Redneck Shari'a.

You are crazy if you really think age restrictions prevent kids were having sex. They’ve never stop kids from having sex with each other? Since when do they ask permission in the first place?
Again we had lots and lots of sex in the 70s as teens and kids are still having lots of sex today.

Most kids probably don’t even know what the age of consent in their state is, it’s not even a consideration. Again it only is a concern to older men who want to have sex with underage girls. Change themselves do not give it any thought at all.

You obviously have a bone to pick with age of consent laws, That’s fine, but you can’t take those issues and try to make them apply to every thread regardless what it’s about. Work ethic and moral values have absolutely nothing to do with whether you’re allowed to buy a beer or not. It’s ridiculous to even say so.

As far as "human rights abuses" go, this ranks pretty low...and underage women aren't even prosecuted if they do have sex with an adult male. It's the adult who goes to jail. These types of laws protect underaged boys, too. Denying teens the means to have sex with adults just.isn't.that.horrible. So who is really feeling "persecuted" by these laws? Oh, let me guess....it's adult males lusting after 16 yr old girls.

The comparison to Sharia laws doesn't hold any water either.
