I've noticed there's a lot more tough guys on the internet than out there where things are actually happening...

Yes, let's escalate the situation.

Well, if he's smoking cigarettes, acting like a lunatic, and then locking himself in a bathroom, I think he's worthy of a good whooping. Never know who's capable of what, with these shoe-bombers and whatnot...

Since 9/11 my opinion is someone is acting up on a plane then passengers should intervene. The risk factor is to high to sit still and hope he doesn't take it further.

Yes. If only someone had intervened when Muhammad Atta and the other 9/11 hijackers started smoking and locking themselves in bathrooms and---

Oh.
Wait.

They did no such thing. They comported themselves in such ways as to draw as little attention to themselves as possible.

I'm hard-pressed to think of a more ludicrous thought-process than:
"Smoking? Lavatory rule-breaking? Beat him up, 'cuz... 9/11!"

Not saying he's a terrorist but someone exhibiting escalating behaviors putting crew and passengers in danger need to be restrained.

Worthy or not, you'll still get arrested for it once the plane lands and the cops come on board.

Me? No, not me. I wouldn't be doing the ass-whooping. I'd leave that to someone who is a little more ill-tempered than I am. All I'm saying is I'm SURPRISED it didn't happen, and that he deserved it; not that I would do it.

Do you really think it is ludicrous to think that times have changed and you shouldn't just sit idly by and let things happen that could cause your death? wow. smh

And let's say the guy is 6' 3" and a weightlifter? This is why the crew is to take care of issues.
