Other than the hilarity of Mr. and Mrs. Florida, that petting zoo is despicable. How can it be allowed to operate? And for so many years??? I really do dislike the South. I pray I never lose my uptight Northern/Yankee values.

I'm actually wondering whether this "news" story is going to help or hurt the truck stop owner and his business. Will probably equal out.

I would hope it would help to shut it down but then where do the poor animals go? It would be nice if they could find better homes. I say all this without reading the article. Just (b)itching off because I am so tired of humans not treating animals right.

There are usually sanctuaries who will offer to take them in. The hard part is convincing the owners to let them.

The dog owners in the story don't seem exactly on top of their game, either.

This is a strange story, but it boils down to another irresponsible dog owner not properly securing their dog.
Itís not a petting zoo. Itís a truck stop/gas station that has a big enclosure that they kept a tiger in for years, until they were ordered to release said tiger to a sanctuary or something similar. Not sure where the tiger ended up, but he died a couple of years ago.

Apparently theyíve had this camel there for a while now.

Truck driverís husband threw dog treats into camel enclosure, dog goes after treats, camel goes after dog. Wife somehow gets inside to save her dog, gets attacked by the camel, who sits on her.

Evidently the only way she could get him off was to bit him in the nuts.

Seems to me a fist should have worked as well as teeth. ??

Did she the camel her toe? Did she spit or swallow? Did she ask for a cigarette? Did she want to hump the camel?

I guess I need to get out more. I was unaware that there's zoo type animals at some truck stops.
