Ive said this before many times...we need to figure out WHY people are having these attractions to kids in the first place, is it something they acquire, are they born this way, something else?
A lot of them were abused themselves. I do think there is a compulsion to abuse as well though in pedophiles.
One of the main arguments against remote learning seems to be that child abuse would go unreported. But when the school itself is the source of the abuse, it would be the other way around. A parent who doesn't abuse their child sends him/her to school expecting the child to be safe, but then the unfortunate child ends up suffering abuse at the hands of the PRINCIPAL.
Fortunately, this type of incident seems much less common. But there is no 100% safe. Any adult trusted with a child's care could, possibly, be an abuser.
One can only hope that the system is improved in the future so that counselors can report ALL abuse regardless of if the perpetrator is a parent or a teacher or a principal, without fear of professional repercussions. I can only wonder if greater whistleblower protections might have stopped this principal earlier on.
Counselors can already report crimes without fear of repercussion. I’m very sure that if a counselor knew this would happen they would’ve told someone. The vast majority of abused children never tell anyone.
It is important to ensure that these offences never occur and to help affected persons prevent urges from becoming problematic sexual behaviour. There are strategies to improve the symptoms associated with distress and ways to integrate sexual interests without acting them out.
This understanding is the reason the German government has integrated preventive help for those with paedophilic inclinations into the healthcare system. Every individual in Germany is entitled to preventive treatment without financial cost or revealing his or her identity.

I think America is less trusting of the government. Anyone who signs up as having pedo desires will probably be watched 24/7 by law enforcement and perhaps set up.
