2012 TdF
was it just me, or was this year's race uneventful and boring?

Perhaps more boring than last year because nobody really challenged Wiggo the last few days and because he kept his lead by hammering the time trials. The stage victories,Voecklers late quest to grab the Polka Dot Jersey and TJ Van Garderan's development were interesting to watch.

It wasn't just you. But it was good to see Wiggins actually working for the sprint in Paris instead of just riding in the peloton and trying to stay safe. Too many out from crashes and doping charges. The sprints were pretty exciting to me. You know, every time they put up Sagan's picture, cropped from his team picture on their website, he always reminded me of someone and it took me a while realize who it was. It was something about his hairstyle, ears, smile.

I don't know just what it is but many things ,besides the TDF, just seem to be off a bit. It's kind of a muted feeling about everything in life.

It was uncontested from day 0. Wiggins won the tour before it even began by finishing second in the prologue. From there it was hohum. The only rider who put Wiggins under duress was his own teammate... Sprint contest was more interesting and Voeckler recovered in the second half of the tour which was fun.

100km of time trial, made it a tad boring.
No pressure from Cadel, great work from Sky, meant Wiggins had it all sorted early.

Boring boring boring this year. No Contador, Andy Schleck, etc. to liven things up. And of course Evans just didn't have it. And it was odd for Cavendish to not be a factor at all. I hope this isn't a sign of the times.

The crashes always liven it up a bit.
