When it is in the hundreds, I can empty two large polar water bottles AND a 70oz camelbak, on a 25 mile ride.

Did 40+ miles on dirt this week with a friend before work. I had a 24 oz bottle plus a 70 oz camelback.
He had a 16 oz bottle. I asked him several times if he was ok, did he need water? But he insisted he was fine.

Finished the ride and went to work. Talked to him later and he said he never got off the couch the rest of the day.

Hydrate or die!

Recent copy of Bicycling Magazine had an article to determine your sweat rate in order to dial in how much liquid you really need.
Any pickle juice or is that more for the Wichita Falls folks? I didn't mind it, but I immediately wanted to have a ham & cheese sandwich 1/2 through my first bottle

I only have pickle juice at HHH, very effective and fast acting: it's the vinegar in it that curbs the cramps. But I would rather have a pickle. The pickle juice is like having a shot of teqilla that has gone bad.

If you don't have one, buy a Camelback. They are lifesavers.
