Generally, it feels better when you do things unprotected.

The laws exist because various agencies were sick and tired of scraping brains off the road, lamp posts, etc.

We also have cycle paths on all main roads now.

Ask someone in an emergency room somewhere, they'll tell you about helmets.

If you have scars on your helmet, it's probably time for a new helmet.

While I am in favor of helmets while riding (I even wear one while riding my ATV), I must admit to having fits of laughter every time I see the U.S. version of a bicycle helmet, with its "aerodynamic styling".
Does anybody honestly believe that the thing really does any good with that teardrop shape? At 25 MPH or less? REALLY???
Then there are the riders with the slick spandex form fitting clothing. Again, aerodynamics at 25 MPH??
I guess, if so many believe in it, it must be true. But, they are still funny looking!
BTW, the speed limit where I see most of the bicyclists is 25 MPH. Yes, they CAN be ticketed!

After my one motorcycle accident, I noticed a gouge in the helmet I had been wearing. Yep, it protected my head, alright!

You know, sometimes I change my helmet just for colour preferences

When I use to ride my bicycle people used to ask me why Im wearing a helmet? and they also said bicycles dont go fast enough to need a helmet.

Ive heard of people dying just from a fall from a bicycle ride at low speed

they only help if the accident effects your head , other wise nooooo . some accidents are so bad that helmet or not brains are coming out .

it is hit and miss as far as what they do .

i had an incident where i fell and the back of the helmet hit the ground and broke . a video of the incident showed had i not had the helmet my head had enough clearance not to hit the ground . so while it looked like the helmet protected it me it really didn't , it hit the ground because the helmet sticks out in the back .
