I have purchased a Trailmate recumbent tricycle with one wheel in front and two wheels in back. I have yet to find a cycling professional/dealer that knows what bracket or adapter I can purchase for my bike to pull a standard Thule child carrier/stroller with lollipop ball. My bike with a Trailmate Meteor. If anyone can help, you will be crowned the winner of city-data!

Thanks

It looks like the Meteor has a pair of "tabs" with holes in them on the rear cross-bar. If your LBS can secure the equivalent of a Shimano Internally geared hub axle to the left one, then you might be able to use Thule's "Chariot Internal Hub Hitch Adaptor".... maybe(??). My concern would be: is that type of mount strong enough; there is a lot of potential force and flex at that hitch-point. A better solution might be to see if you have a frame-builder available (I know they're a dying breed) who can fabricate a reliable mounting option. (I'm assuming you or your LBS already asked Thule and Trailmate for a solution).

Thanks for the tip. Yes, I called Trailmate and a Thule rep, plus a cycling with wagon supplier and they all scratched their heads. The tabs are being used by a rear basket. I'm going to look into your suggestion. The other trike owners I've found all had custom mounts made. I'm beginning to understand why. Thanks again.
