I travel alot. I average about 50 days a year on the road. This means hotel gyms which lack good cycling equipment. Has anyone bought the folding bikes. I understand the cost. Actually I am trying to understand the travel impacts, i.e. going through security, carrying, etc. I would like your thoughts.

I bought a nice Aleoca Folding bike in the SM Mega Mall in Manila. Came back to America in a 3rd regulation largest sized std suitcase [$200 3rd suitcase airline charge]. It rides better than a Dahon. I also tested it in Manila and I biked about 25 miles in it there. I use it to take on the train in Chicago. But there is a better folding bike shop in Caloocan in Manila.

Oh well, but I guess you'd have to buy an American Bike.

No problem going through airline security with my folding bike. If I vacation in France, I'd like to bring it along too, as Paris taxis are expensive.
