Correction. She was 56" when we got the bike for her in november for her b-day. Now she's 57".... 57" = 4'9". So my 10 yr old is now just 4 inches shy of being the same height as you....

I named my bikes. My first bike was a red cannondale. I thought it was sporty like a mustang so I named it Sally....as in Mustang Sally.

My current bike is all black. So in honor of one of my favorite musical artists I call it Johnny Cash.

My first decent bike was a black Specialized Rockhopper. I named her Ole Bess. I entered and won my first mountain bike race on her. She went the way of ebay when I got my pink Marin Riftzone. My current three bikes aren't named.

^ Wow, a very impressive collection of bikes, Pan! I even see a tandem bike there. Are they tricky to ride (either solo or w/ someone else)? I've never ridden one.

On that note, while there's still a little bit of sun, I'm going to head outside and do about 30 min. of biking.

I went for a nice 8.6 mi. bike ride in 35 min. I was hurting a little b/c earlier today, I went to the gym and did legs, including squats, etc. While biking, I discovered a nice park that's only ~3 mi. away from my house.

Tandems are easy, once you realize that it is just like riding a bike. The first time I tried it, just around in a parking lot, I was a little nervous and my arms got so sore after just a few minutes - gripping the bar so hard and being real stiff in the arms. The next time I just relaxed and it was so easy, and it handled pretty normal. However, if I am alone on it, it feels like driving a bus.
