Saturday's "Time to Goof off" exercise thread"

We hit the beach this morning. My dog was swarmed by 6 pit bulls, one of which was a nursing mother who's puppies were also at the beach. All but the mother were just trying to say hi, but my chicken dog was terrified.

We spent an hour chasing sand crabs, looking for coconuts, and swimming.

I will also be hiding in the A/C for the rest of the day.

We went for a walk early to try to beat the heat, and we didn't. We're headed to Phoenix to a Southern restaurant for chicken and waffles (never had it before). Then my son will go swimming with his cousin. That's all the fun we have here!

Nice cool morning here in southern cal, went out jogging for about an hour and a half. Felt pretty good today, still a few shots of toothache soreness after yesterday's root canal. At least I was able to sleep through most of the night. Today will be good for a visit up to Long Beach. It will be nice and cool there today, probably low 70s with the ocean breeze right along the coast - natural AC. I'm meeting some friends at a sidewalk deli for lunch, then walk around the waterfront area. Have a fun Saturday.

Evey, sounds like a nice beach morning with your dog. I'll wager that if six pit bulls came bounding up to say hi to me, I'd be a little nervous too!

Hi Friends - Dinner last night was AWESOME! It was quite an expensive tab ($105 - ouch!) but I've never had such fresh, scrumptious calamari before. YUMMY!

Okay, I'm heading to the gym now. I'm running a little late today but it is Saturday afterall!

Karla - I forgot to mention I loved your polka dots in the pic ... with shoes to match! I love it when people are that coordinated!

Day off or no, my scale revoked my 'time to goof off' pass, so I did some anyway. Heck I think those polka dot shoes are quite cool! I remember back in the day having some really awesome glittery platform shoes and all those funky clogs-wild stuff! And SO cool. You're never too old for flashy shoes-as long as you don't have big ugly bunions which I was reminded of today when I tried on the nice comfy sandals I bought last night-only tried on one-the WRONG one. Now I'm trying to get it to stretch out for me...oh, boy that makes me mad. Anyone remember this song; Red shoes, red shoes, the angels wanna wear my red shoes, red shoes...

I am having high hopes that our "blackberry crop" will end up as good as it looks. so far we have tons of little ones. the trick will be getting them enough water and keeping the "critters" form eating them, I don't mind sharing some of them.
Might have to break out the screen such a lovely look

We ended up going to Walmart and Sams can you ever get out of either place without spending $100 ?
