First day in about 2 months when the fog did not roll in overnight. Got up early and left the house a little before 7 am for a bike ride. Headed west towards the coast with the sun at my back, and 17 miles (1 hour 3 minutes) later I turned onto Pacific Coast Highway at Crystal Cove State Park in Corona del Mar. Fresh cool ocean air, perfect. Headed north towards Newport Beach, and then made the turn to head home at my half way point, along the Back Bay bike trail that winds its way all the way though Newport and Irvine to get me home. Hundreds and hundreds of joggers, walkers, skaters and bike riders out this morning, more than I've seen in a long time. Lots of fitness fanatics around here in the "OC". Heading home, pedaling up the last long uphill, I was glad to finish up by 9:30 am. The sun was starting to warm things up, but I finished up the 41 mile (2 1/2 hr) loop before the heat set in. Great ride today, this weeks miles on the bike added up to about 200, have to see if I can repeat that next week. Have fun out there!
OK guys, give me some of that energy. OK I feel it now. Did 3 miles on the town trail, very hot and humid. Ya know it ws so hard this time, I don't know why. I was at Dad's right before and did a lot of crying there, had a (miss my mommy) moment, maybe that did it. Or, Or, it could be that it is just freaking hot and humid here. Love the T-storms though. 5/8 of an inch in 20 minutes last night. Love you guys
All that before 9:30? Impressive.
Well, gee-I was going to check in with my side-bendy waisty things and such, but it seems to pale in comparison! Oh well, I did them nonetheless.
Can you believe I am wide awake even with my wacky insomniatic (is that a word?!) night? I woke up at 8:45 am so I guess I still had enough sleep!
I jogged 2.96 miles today. I coulda done 3 miles but I sprinted the last couple of minutes and I was checking the time and not the distance! Darn it b'c it would've been the first time I hit 3 miles! Oh well ... maybe tomorrow!
I also did some weights. Decent work out today I think! Now I have to start learning calculus b'c that's one of the classes I have to take and I'm NOT looking forward to it this fall!
great turnout today everyone
I took soem bendryl to se if that will help dry up the fluid that I think is causing the ear issues
so I am heading off to bed since that stuff makes me even more goofy than normal lol
For the record...Hannah and I hiked 22 kilometers in 7 hours on Friday evening. It is now Sunday. I'm still feeling it! And we donated blood. In 3 countries. To Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish mosquitoes.
Well I have gained some ground with the packing finally, I am done for today. I hauled up boxes that I already packed before that were down in my basement, did two loads of clothes, vacuumed the carpets, and am taking tomorrow off.
It will be nice just to get back into taking normal walks again instead of packing, running up and down steps, and then unpacking once I get out to Colorado.
I hope everyone is doing great, I am feeling better just knowing that I see an end in sight. Have a great weekend everyone, what's left of it any ways. Take care all. Yorkie
Today is Monday. I sat on my a r s e all day on jet liners. I would have rather packed boxes up basement stairs! Talk about sardine cans with wings. I found both of them.
