Default Thursday's "Happy Birthday Mr NMS !!!" exercise thread

Yay we have another birthday this week
Sending happy birthday wishes south of us to Patties dear hubby

I hope you have a wonderful day !!!

ok lol with all this birthday talk I want cake

Well I just threw the last load of towels into the dryer so we are pretty much laundry free

lol no I did not have my Diet Pepsi when I got up

But I can understand how folks get cranky when they don't have their coffee in the morning

I guess we are leaving here around 9 I never got a call yesterday about my apt time So I am going to call them when the office opens at 8 just to be sure.

Thank you all so much for your good wishes
I am going to do my best to get you all an update when I get home

Good morning all, and good thoughts to Karla.

Raining here this morning so my walk will be delayed. I read an article that said people who walk in the evening are more likely to lose weight quicker than those who walk in the morning. Not too sure about that but it looks like I'll be walking later today.

Thinking about adding some yoga into the mix. Easier on the aging joints.

Happy Birthday greetings to Mr. NMS May this one be twice as happy as last year and only half as happy as next year.

Thank you for the b'day greetings, on behalf of my guy. This is the last year he can put a 5 in the front of the 2 numbers....

Theatergypsy, I walk in the a.m. for 2 reasons. 1) it's a lot cooler and 2) if I don't do it then, it doesn't get done.

Did 2 miles and 20 min. weights this a.m.

Came home, had 1/2 banana w/ ff yogurt and some of my home made granola.

Karla....only the best, my dear. Glad to hear you stayed away from the DP. It's hard, I know, but you'll have all you want after this morning. I'll be there with you in spirit.

Hugs to all.....................

Morning all!

We have been cable/internet free for over 24 hours........had a he#l of a storm blow through Tuesday evening (blasted cotton tree can confirm that it got a direct hit but not bad enough to bring it down), felt the lightening hit very close and bam the tv went off and ditto on the internet. The lightening that hit the tree traveled underground and burned out the cable thingy in front of the house. Needless to say we are all lucky that we had surge protectors on our computers.

Karla GOOD LUCK lady! I know you will be reading this after you get home but take care and do what the doctor tell you!

Gotta get, I have a 1:00 interview with a doctor's office

Oh and Pattie tell hubby Happy Birthday from me.

Evey hope Buzz has made his way home

Thanks, Sandy....passing on the wishes. Sorry about your tree, tho.

I thought we would have heard something by now

None of us like the cotton wood tree Pattie so it could have come down for all we care, just not on the house.

I hear ya on that one! I got splashed when I grabbed a can of catfood out of the cupboard last night, so it must have really rained--and man we need a new roof!

Today I did a ~26 minute cardio interval workout, ta da.

Talked to mh, he's still stranded up in the tip of the thumb of MI.

Hope Buzz showed up, and hope we hear how it went for Karla soon.

Hey peeps!

Hoping everything went well for you Karla!

Sadly there has been no sign of Buzz. He is almost 18 years old and I have a feeling he wandered off to pass away. Tippy Toes is just beside herself.

Also quite sadly, my friend's dog Lucky is not doing very well. Even with the massive amounts of steroids she is unable to walk and today she is no longer able to even pick up her head to eat or drink. I got the vet out here and we have given her some massive meds to try and get her somewhat comfortable until my friend gets back from her trip on Sat.

Shadow, Mickey & I have been out hunting. We walked a different part of the acreage today hoping to find Buzz. No Buzz, but lots of moles.

So sorry to hear that Buzz is still missing and that Lucky's not doing well.

On a good note....Karla called earlier. She's feeling absolutely nothing, thanks to the nerve block they gave her prior to the operation. They expect that to wear off sometime around 4 or 5 a.m. She saw the dr. very briefly and there was more damage than they had expected. The tear was complete after all and she had a bone spur that helped the tear along. She sounded really good and asked me to get online to let you all know she's home recuperating. DH had run out for a minute to pick up her meds.

She said she'd call again tomorrow; I won't call her because I don't want to wake her if she's asleep. Sorry I didn't get online earlier, but had to give hubster his b'day dinner.

Have a great night, all.
