Morning peeps!

Wet & dreary here this morning. Our high today is not supposed to get out of the 50's.

Getting ready to get ready to head in to work. Hopefully today will go a little faster. They hired 21 new people who all started yesterday and we are doing group training. Some of the folks in the group just move a little slower than I am accustomed to. The trainer is pacing stuff so that these folks get a chance to finish everything, which is nice for them.....

Tonight is PE night so I am guessing Shadow & I will get to spend some quality time together later.

Yay, Karla! You're a big girl now! It's funny...it's the little things that mean so much and you take them for granted till you can't do them.

Wow, Evey...21 people. And you have to endure...I mean you get to enjoy this for 3 whole weeks??? Wow.

Still feeling under the weather, which is appropriate here today - foggy out there. Which is exactly how I'm feeling.

DH is taking his walk. He's going to skip the weights today because his back is hurting. I think he overdid it a bit yesterday. I'm supposed to go to lunch with my friend Chris today, but I'm not sure if I should yet. I'll give her a call a little later.

I have some laundry going. I think I'll do the floors w/the steamer this morning. I think I can handle that. Maybe just the bathrooms and I'll save the lanai for tomorrow. We'll see how I feel when I start.

I just made it home in time, it is beginning to rain. Feeling like I am trying to catch a cold too, so am taking Ester C and will begin with my smoothies again. Sigh, colds are something I did not miss living in the south, gotta do something to build up my immune system.

I have to run over to Kim's side of town to drop Bob's direct deposit paperwork at his work and think I am going to stop in and see what Kim and kids are doing. After that it will be back to the grind of applications, Yonkers is hiring and have to fill out a long application for that.

Evey will you be working in the Marion office or somewhere else? If the state just hired 21 workers for this there must be a major increase in unemployed people. Scary thought! I wandered over to the unemployment forum and got freaked out seeing how many people can't find work after being unemployed for a year or so. I'm keeping my sanity and staying away from that forum!

Have fun driving Karla and Pattie take care of yourself!

Oh ya, I got Bob his first PT appointment on Friday. Can't wait to see what they say, and if there is improvement. He won't take the muscle pills except a 1/2 at night (can't say as I blame him) so the only time those are going to help him is on the weekend!

Good morning!!!

Karla-Yay...driving and shopping.

Did hubby finish the garage?

Evey-What job did you get? Good luck with it.

Pattie-Take it easy. You should start to feel better soon...at at least back to "you"

Sandy-Hang in there. You "will" get a job.
I hope you feel better.

I had an awful night of sleep..or rather non sleep. I was up for hours in the middle of the night I wold have thought I would have slept good after all the outside work yesterday...not.

Today hubby is taking me out of the house after 5 days to go to the library and pick up some groceries. Then it's off to the Farm supply. We need fencing material to fence off the top of the driveway so we can seal it. Gotta keep the cows off. It's an endless battle. And of course we have more firewood to cut.

I really need to get back on my treadmill routine..but it will have to wait until hubby is more calm about the work around here

Have a great day!!!

Feel better, Sandy.

Hi, Lisa. I took your advice even before I read it! Floors have been cancelled for today. I'm feeling a bit less foggy, so I'm going to lunch w/Chris. We're going to Panera Bread (I have a gift card!) and then to Bed Bath and Beyond. I think I may even feel good enough to get back to walking tomorrow. We'll see. One day at a time, right?

Lisa, my new job is as an Eligibility Specialist at the Family And Social Services Administration. I will be processing applications, doing research, etc on applications for food stamps, emergency cash, and medical care.

Sandy, I think they are moving more work into our location which is the Central Service Center for the entire state. I am pretty sure that is the reason for the increase in staff. There is another large group starting at the end of next month. It is here in Marion.

Wow Evey that is a lot of new employee's, and a good job for you to have I bet you are going to hear a lot of sad stories That was what it was like at Legal Services, sometimes I would wonder how longer those single mom's who worked two jobs could keep going.

Pattie-I'm glad you took it easy.

How was Panera Bread? I have never been.

Evey-That sounds like an interesting job. It's good to help those who really need the help. Good luck!!

Panera Bread is wonderful! We each had a lg. turkey harvest salad (various greens, blue cheese, dried cherries, pecans w/a cherry balsamic vinaigrette) w/a chunk of bagette, iced tea and we split a bear claw (which we got for free because Chris has a PB rewards card) all for about $21. And since I had a $25 gift card....... even better!

I just poured a full glass of iced coffee w/creamer all over the desk. What a mess! And I know this is going to smell of coffee till the cows come home. GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
