Wednesday's "Hows everyone doing " exercise thread
Good morining everyone
I figured since we are halfway through the new month, we could all check in to see how we are doing.
Have you found it hard to get back into the exercise thing after the holiday break a few of us took ?
I know getting back in the "routine" has been tough for me. Add to that my new fund raising project has started so I wish there were more hours in the day.
One thing that may help is once the gym goes completely "Y" Feb 1 I will be able to go work out much earlier. right now I just have a midday membership which means I can only work out from 8 to 3. rofl let me tell you there are a lot of distractions between 6 & 8 that can delay heading to the gym at 9.
I may start leaving when hubby goes to work get my workout in then home by 8 walk Lola then settle down to do my "begging for donations" lol
Today will be walk lola around 7:30 (or when I get finished posting this and the todays question"
then heading to spinning at 9
So how has it been going for you ?

It's been rough getting back in. Monday, I just couldn't get my lazy butt outta bed, so I skipped. I've hardly done any aerobics, much to the chagrin of my scales, and the diet?? Ha! What diet??? However, we have cut back on desserts and have introduced more fruits into our life. The bad thing is, we've been eating out a lot, which isn't always the healthiest.
Today, tho, I did make it to the gym to do my weights. 30 min. there today.
Hey, Karla, you don't talk about the older gentleman you used to walk with. Is he ok?

nms
what time do you go to the gym in the morning ?
If I remember correctly isn't it around 6 or so ?
Since I may have that option soon I would love your opinion.
My old walking buddy is still "mad" at me, though I see him walking and he looks fine.

I am not doing well at all! Maybe get to the gym twice a week and I have had to cancel my workout buddy dates several times in the past 2 weeks. I have been dealing with a 15 year old boy who decided to flunk all his classes this semster. The only thing getting a decent work out are my vocal chords!

Good Morning!
Well, I have been going to the gym even over the holidays, but the quality of workout hasn't been the same. My gym is very small, and I get tired of the same equipment, so my routine has become too much of a routine. I have been doing the same weight exercises and cardio workout for more than 2 months, and really need to mix it up.
I am off to the gym today, for the same ole', same ole', then will have lunch with my husband. Then it is off to find some dress clothes for my son. We just found out yesterday that he is required to wear a shirt/tie/dress pants for a program tomorrow. This would be no big deal, but he is 12, growing like a weed and I know he will never wear what I buy again. So, I plan to check Goodwill first, to see if they have anything.
Well, have a great day everyone and try to stay motivated!

That's about right. I get there around 6:15, because the doors aren't always open if I show up earlier. The guards from the gate are responsible for unlocking the clubhouse and if the relief doesn't show up on time, the doors are still locked. I like it early because there are fewer people there and, since our "gym" (really a work-out ROOM) is so small, it's harder to move around with more people. I find that if I don't go early, I don't go at all.
I didn't know your buddy was angry with you. Sorry. :-( Who could be angry at you, anyhow???

I have 3 boys and the standard school program outfit for us is a white oxford and khaki or black pants from Walmart. Cheap, acceptable and often worn only a couple times. The always want to throw it out when I make them clean their closets, but I make them keep it and lo'and behold, someone needs it in the next few months.

Oh, she's not upset with me...she can't be , she is in the middle of divorcing my husbands brother! Little hint for you. If your friends asks if it would be OK to ask you brother inlaw out on a date, tell her no way!

Morning Peeps!
Even though it is warmer this morning the humidity is up and so is the wind. It feels much colder today than it did yesterday. First Shadow told me she did not really want to go out, then she spotted something through the window & suddenly she was ready for a walk. Now she is sitting out by my bike. *whines* I don't wanna go bike riding today!
I have a ton of housework to get done. I know me. If I don't motivate here soon I am likely to decided it can wait until tomorrow. I have been saying that for a week now, and it shows. *heavy sigh* Guess I better get to it.
