I think when I waited till afterwards, I was hungrier and had more calories because I thought I deserved it after working out. Now that I eat beforehand, I don't feel nauseated and I'm not hungry afterward.

The girl at Curves said, to burn calories, you need to have some calories to burn. Well, I don't know. But, I've been eating my Uncle Sam cereal with skim milk before I go...like you, about 30 minutes prior. And, as I said, I've heard both theories.
