Morning peeps!

Karla, may I bank this day off for a day down the road?

We thought we had the plumbing project completed yesterday, but no such luck. We are thinking that the built in stopper for the bath tub has come off and has fallen down into the pipe and that is why water does not drain from the tub. We thought we got it clear, but whatever it is has moved farther down the line (at least we know it is not someone pouring concrete down the drain before they lost the house). We have both toilets in the house working and 3 out of 4 sinks, so once we get the tub to drain I can move in. I have to get that handled before I can take a day off.

It is 37 and raining here this morning and even Shadow did not want to go outside. We are expecting a rain/snow mix this afternoon with 30 mph north winds. My husband is freaking out. Apparently he fears the sight of so much as a single snowfalke.

O.K., off to disassemble plumbing...... Everyone enjoy your day off.

Good luck, Evey.

Karla....you gotta change your password so that your DH doesn't read our little "secrets"!

Got up earlier than usual today. Every Saturday, during "The Season", our community has a coffee klatch which is hosted by each of the cul-de-sacs in turn. Today was ours. So I went and got juiced. I was the lady who poured the juices. I told everybody they had vodka in them, so we "sold" a lot of juice! I left home w/$8 in my pocket and came home w/$30! I won the 50/50 raffle! They do it strangely down here. Back home, if you won a 50/50, you won 1/2 the $$. Here, they divide it up. There were 2 $25 winners, one $20 and one $15. I got a biggie. Woo hoo. Should go guy a lottery ticket!

The guy who bought DH 's tools is here, loading them. I best go comfort my honey.

Have a great weekend.

Whoo Hoo Pattie. Your lucky day.
Evey, hope it's not too big of an issue getting the stopper out of the pipe.
I'm going to sit around and read today and do some short walks.
Karla, I was thinking yesterday about the other days thread about cashew butter. Wouldn't it be nice if they made m&m's and reeses cups with cashews and cashew butter? I would be in pig heaven.
We were supposed to go up to MIL's house this weekend for an early Thanksgiving but not going to make it this time. It's a 4 hour drive and I cannot stand being in the car that long.
Happy weekend to everyone.

Hello everyone!

No day off here, but thankfully I wasn't tackling plumbing issues. Evey, how the heck do you get the stopper out of the drain?

Pattie ... have you got some Irish blood in your veins?

Well, did a few miles with the pooch. I should've wore my wooly hat instead of a baseball cap. My ears were killing me when I got home. Wind plus cold do not mix!

Hang in there song! It's good to hear you're walking and moving around.

Well, I'm off to do some reading in a few.

Have a wonderful day.

Tet, I'm exactly half Irish. Dad's parents came from "the auld sod". Why do you ask? You'll not hold that against me, now, will ya? (with a wee bit o' a lilt in her voice, she said)

Hey all
Was enjoying my "special day" so between watching all 3 of the "Santa Clause" movies and baking a cake my first ever 2 layer one !! Yellow with chocolate frosting
I didn't turn on the computer

because it was rainy the trees are still standing

of course those of you that had projects can have rain checks we will even throw in some interest

evey any chance super strength drain unblocker would dissolve the stopper

song lol I have to agree M&Ms with cashew butter would be a delightful treat !!

nice job there pattie on your win now lets meet at the casino in tampa !! with your luck we can have a blast on the slot machines

hey Tet I use to hate the wind + cold = frosty ears thing
hey lol you could try my NN's trick she puts cotton balls in her ears when it is windy out not sure how well it would work but it is an entertaining look
