dear friend, read your profile 6 ft 1 inch, 185 very fit, so what are the chances that the gangbanger that jumps on you will be unarmed and alone re extensive daily practice in unarmed combat? when martial arts trumps firearms the police will throw their batons and glocks in the trash barrel.

Martial arts are pretty wicked if you are experienced with them. Plus its one of the best workouts there is.

I'm sure anyone who's been in the martial arts for any period of time would gladly take on several punk gang bangers.

Couple of things:

1. Martial arts practice for me is a way of life. Not just a tool to take on "gangbangers". There's more than the eye can see and usually those who "look through the fence" while on the outside never understand this.

2. Who's to say that I will not also be carrying a Glock 17 9mm, Glock 21 .45acp or an HK?

3. A few have tried and they have all been put down.

4. I make it a point to avoid any situation that could become dangerous if at all possible.

5. Although I live in Woodland Hills, and have a college education, make no mistake about it, I am South Central Los Angeles (I think you know what this means) to the core as I was born and raised there. Anyone who tries anything against me or my family notices this right away and they almost always back down.

Again, "unarmed combat" is a way of life (and living) for me. It is also a great way to stay in shape and to learn to live life based on virtuous principals and behaviour. Maybe if you stopped "looking through the fence" and join in you'l see that.

I am looking to open up a school in "gangbanger" infested areas because I know those are the areas where a school that emphasizes character development, virtues, honesty etc. are truly needed.

Would love to open up near my old hangout at Broadway Gym or Sheenway School. Also on Broadway near Manchester; Vermont near Manchester.

dont underestimate punk gang bangers

They have been in lots of scuffles, and have survived some grueling situations

they have probably fought more fights than most martial artists

And there is no better training than experience
