Happy New Year everyone!

Enjoyed paruzzing some of the stores this morning. Didn't buy anything, but had fun looking at getting ideas.

Spent part of the afternoon in the bathroom throwing up! You tell the waitress that you are a vegetarian, can't eat meat or anything cooked with meat. She must of thought I was joking... I didn't even make a dent in the food and the stomach started acting up... that's when she informs me they cooked the stuff in the same juice as the meat. I could've clocked her one!

Anyhoo, we're hanging out infront of the tele tonight. I'm really trying to make it to midnight!

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe evening. See you all tomorrow with or without a hangover!

hey all
Happy new Year
Pattie are you both feeling better ? Maybe the shrimp was a tad "off"

Yikes Sue how dumb is that server I would definitely call the restaurant and let them know. What if she has the same "non-informed" attitude with someone who is allergic to shellfish and they fry everything in the same oil !! it could kill someone

Fuzzy what a cool idea to take a picture of the TV screen at midnight
That is so great that Billy will be there tomorrow !!! I would do another New Years celebration sat night at midnight !!!
I have heard of pickled beats(hubby loves them) but never pickled eggs

ok you all are going to "love" this

I got a text message around 9:40 last night from C/D
"can you c if u can find a 15 seat limo to pick us up at my house by 10:45"

lol I texted back "tonight !!?"

he said "yup a bunch of us want to go out and don't want to drink & drive"

Never one to ignore a challenge and we weren't doing anything other than watching a movie I turned on the computer. The first couple places kinda laughed and said "at 9:45 on NYE yeah thats not happening"
I guess 4th try is a charm I called and the owners said he was just about to send his last driver home they had a stretch range rover or a limo bus left hold on while I call
rofl they actually had to have a discussion on which to get
I finally said take the range rover the other one looks like a bus
and by now it was 10
So I called and the owner said ok it's on its way

Ok I am going to have a chat with C/D today telling him I have a new job title I am no longer just his p/t assistant I am now the "VP in charge of pulling miracles out of my ass"

This could result in a good thing, the owner was so nice and I am sure he will remember the crazy lady that called looking for a limo on NYE I am going to call to see if he would donate a limo ride for my upcoming fundraiser

Tet, I hope they didn't charge you for your meal after that. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Idiots. I swear we're surrounded.

Karla, that was quite the challenge. And you were up for it! What a woman. You've never heard of pickled eggs? They're a standard in most bars. Just don't hang around for the after effects. :0

I think we figured out what "poisoned" us. DH had bought a half acre's worth of baby bella 'shrooms and we didn't want to throw them out, so we cleaned them and threw them around the prime rib for flavor and stuff. Well, I didn't eat any of the shrooms, but I did put some of the "juice" that they'd been roasting in on my meat. I think that's why I was only in pain for about a half hour, while DH (who ate some of the 'shrooms) was hurting for quite a while longer. I knew it wasn't the shrimp because we'd eaten half the bag about a week ago, kept the other 1/2 bag frozen, thawed and cooked them within a half hour of taking them out of the freezer and then put them right into the fridge.
DH is feeling better this a.m.

Pattie glad you are both feeling better
hey could you imagine the night has it been those "special" mushrooms

rofl you know me to well I love a challenge though hubby did get a might tiffed when he texted me while the limo was on the way asking "um can you ask the driver to stop on his way to get soda & cranberry juice so we don't have to stop" since I had forgotten to text him the limo number and who know if they had started drinking I felt it would be best to just make the call

lol I also told him he better give the driver a tip !!

I can not wait for the next CD challenge
