Good morning everyone
Happy Monday

Lots to do this morning
The lawn guy called last night to say he was coming to treat the lawn this morning
lol I said "treat what, it is all brown & nasty"
He is putting down potash as well as some other stuff to help it "recover" so we will have nice green grass come spring
So he will be here at 8 then head over to C/D house
This is were it gets busy
I am going to run over and let my buddy out in a few minutes so I can rush home and get in the shower before he gets here at 8. I have the final follow up apt at the RC dentist at 9:15 which us why I am showering early.

Hubby went downtown to the office at 6 am there were some kind of server issues so he had to go in.
This is a good thing because I have a ton of phone calls I have to make before tomorrows fundraising meeting when I get home from the Dentist and it is easier not having to worry if he has any conference calls coming in.
I also have a few errands that need to be done

Treading will be done this afternoon

Tonight is the little boy next doors birthday so I am invited for cake & hats wearing !!!
Oops add find a birthday present to the to do list

So what is everyone doing today

Morning all and a happy Monday to all!
I have the day off for Kings' B-Day and lots of celebrations going on in Birmingham. I thought about going to one of them but we were fogged in this morning so I decided that staying home was the best idea.
Cassy and I have already been out twice today, guess she appreciates the milder temps we are getting.
I have to go to Walmart today, forgot to get a 2010 calendar and I can't function without one.
I'm also going to tackle my filing pile today and deal with a few insurance claims that have not been covered. With two insurance companies there is no reason not to have this claim paid for and the UAB hospital is not sending me a itemized billing as I requested.
Thats it for now, I am sure this extra day will bring in something else to do.........like hit the exercise room this afternoon.

Well, good morning, all.

Karla, I needed to take a breath after reading your post!

Sandy, I wish you luck and patience in your insurance issue. Gawd, I hate those things.

OK, we are back to square 1 in our program. We walked to the gym this a.m., did about 1/2 hour weights and walked back. I'm glad we're doing this again because I noticed I was getting achey all over. I'd be sitting down and when I stood up, my hips would say "Oh, no you don't!" and they'd fight me all the way. I just have to realize that if I don't exercise, I'm going to end up a crippled old lady long before my time.

We're also going to try to eat more sensibly again. Almost all of the holiday snackies are gone, so I won't have all that temptation around. The only things left are about 1 serving of dulce de leche ice cream and some toblerone chocolates. Now, to make sure that I eat regular portions instead of supersized just because I like something is going to be the struggle. It's not my fault I love food!

We've done some little things around the house already this morning. We had a very long painting hanging over the old tv and since the BAEC came home, we've had the painting in our bedroom, leaning up against the foot of the bed. DH decided we needed to get that on the wall before Mrs. Klutzo here tripped over it and broke it. So we did that. I figured, as long as the ladder was in the house and set up, I'd dust all the ceiling fans, so that's done. And the usual morning pick up stuff. Time to read the paper, I think!

Oh! Has anybody seen those new Skechers that are supposed to increase your exercise as you wear them? I tried on a pair and they seem really comfortable. Our vet has some, too. I may have to run to Famous Footwear, see if they're on sale. Last I checked, they were marked down to $90 from $100. That's still a bit more than I'd like to spend.

Have a great day, all.

Morning peeps!

Pattie, MIL got a pair of those shoes for Christmas. They make her a couple of inches taller. She says they are super comfy, but she rarely wears shoes for more than an hour.

Shadow & I have been for a nice walk this morning. Later we will hit the dog park.

I am 16 kinds of stiff from all of the yard work yesterday. I think I might take it easy today.

That reminds me of Earth shoes that made you work a little harder when you walked because your toes were more elevated and the Dr Sholl's exercise sandals--which I happen to have a pair of somehow! For ninety bucks, they better do my dishes and take out the trash.

Today I just did the 30 minute lessmore cardio, and now I have to get busy. I don't get it, one minute the day is young the next minute oh crap! Story of my life.

Have a good one, everybody.

Hey all
well it was a fun day
Got the all clear from the RC Dentist and when I told him about the 11 minute Novocaine experience he just shook his head then personally escorted me next door and introduced me to his Dentist staff I have an apt there on wed to discuss replacing the old crown that the RC retreat was done on.

It was so nice out I decided to run my errands then instead of later
I found the cutest birthday present for my neighbors son. A spongebob kids snuggie type thingy. I did call his mom from the store and she said it would be perfect since he gets up early and goes out and watches TV

Cane home made a bunch of calls for the fundraiser forgot that the city offices were closed today

lol Chaos & I have a new game when we are in the back he runs up to me with kong well he is not good with the "drop it" soI can't throw it for him well yesterday I thought hmm get the other kong bone and throw that
So the neighbors on the lake have a new entertainment I throw the kong bone he runs after it while holding the other kong looks down at it then runs back to me so I run over to the bone and throw it in the other direction
lol he is having the time of his life but doesn't let go of the kong in his mouth lol I guess we are both getting exercise

Sandy I hate dealing with insurance companies I think they make it difficult on purpose. and hospital billing departments must get their ideas on making things hard from the Insurance companies

pattie someone once told me a trick about serving sizes she said "put normal size servings of each item on the plate, then before you eat put the remaining food in the fridge" that way you won't be tempted to go back for seconds because it is out of site and cold

those shoes sound interesting doesn't rebok have a similar version I think they would be cool but a little pricey for me since the "kids" have a habit of "playing with my sneakers"

fuzzy lol I remember earth shoes and DR Sholls I was a big Dr Sholls fan

Evey it is surprising how many muscles you use out in the yard now that you are all fenced in you should tell hubby you need a hot tub !!!
