My heart goes out for poor Shadow. She doesn't look like her happy little self. Hang in there. She'll be right as rain in no time... same goes for Squeakers!!!!

Got a good walk done this morning. It's piddling it down now, so am waiting to see if it lightens up some before I head out again.

Karla, I made those phone calls with my "ever so nice and understanding" voice. If I don't see my bank account increase by the end of the week... the gloves come off!

Oh, don't get me crying here, we cannot have two sick babies in our group. Good vibes and hugs to Shadow and Squeakers, parents too. Pattie, will she eat if you warm her food up?
I have been checking all day to see how these two are.

Oh, poor Shadow. Do you know this vet? I hope she starts feeling better, that is heartbreaking to see. How would she go about going to the bathroom in there? Is there a way for her to go, like would she go on a pad or something? Hopefully she'll get a little better over tonight and tomorrow.

Connie I have never been able to find a decent vet here. I picked this place because they are the emergency vet for the area and if you have an after hours emergency they do not charge regular patients the emergency rates. They saw Shadow for the first time in April when she got her shots and again last month when she needed help with her allergies.

There are lots of staff there who take care of inpatients. They walk the dogs a couple of times a day. I happen to know that Shadow can hold it for as long as 4 days if she wants to. I have seen her do it.

The vet who owns the practice actually lives there so there is always a vet in the building.

Well, that's why I wondered about her not going. Could it be that she's holding it because she can't get up to go outside or where ever, you know what I mean?

Aw, the poor baby. Hugs to you all. She's such a sweetie. I hope she's ok. I hate when they're like this.

Squeaker is more herself tonight. Still not much interest in her food, which isn't good. If a cat doesn't eat for 24-48 hours, there's always the possibility of liver damage. But she's alert and she did come out of the bedroom for most of the afternoon. She asked me to brush her, which is a good sign. She did sniff at the food, so I made sure that all the bowls for the dried food were full and that there were choices of Fancy Feast for her. Some interest...no eating.

Tomorrow's another day for us all, Evey. Hang in there.

Sorry...didn't see all the other posts on pg. 2. Thanks for all the good thoughts. I'm sure she'll be fine. Now if we can only get both of them (Squeaker and Shadow) back to "normal", everything will be ok.

fuzz, I'm So proud of Billy. Congratulations!

I made some BBQ'd ribs in the crockpot and another blueberry pie which turned out even better than the first. Plus some fresh corn on the cob and raw veggies (tomatoes, cukes, small yellow, orange and red peppers and green onions. Sooooo good.

Have a good night, all, and thanks again for the kind thoughts.
