Default Tuesday "countdown to Spring" Food Journal

Good morning! Okay, it may be a tad early but Spring is in the air in my mind...58 days! There is 29 days in February this year right? So, what is everyone up to today? Going to try and do a step work-out this morning, a little straightening up here, some laundry, then we have an engineer stopping by to give an opinion on our septic situation. Coffee with sucrose and soymilk......have a great day! Jeannie

Yes, I am looking forward to Spring here too. Dh said there is ice on the road. We take our own trash to the dump and he slid once on his morning trip. This is the time of the year I did not mind to be working. I hated to work in the Spring and Fall. It cramped my style. I like to be out digging in the dirt.

About the news on feds cutting the rate this morning Jeaninie,I talked to several of my lenders, the fixed rate is not affected yet, it may affect the variable rates,so don't worry,I was worried about my investors more than anything else.

Dragonten, I am going to bite the bullet and look at my 401K in a few minutes. My dh says he is not going to look.

Rest of 1/22/2008 food.
Coffee and milk
2 oz. honey turkey slices
coffee and milk
21 baby carrots
4 oz. barbecued chicken tenders
2 slices whitewheat
Shredded cabbage
coffee and milk
Strawberry yogurt
I put on a pair of leggings and pants and two sweatshirts and leather gloves and a scarf and went out and pruned 3 trees today. It took me about an hour per tree, but my back seems to be completely better. It started raining before I was completely finished.

I searched "Recipe for Russian tea" and came up with this recipe and author unknown.

Ingredients for Russian Tea:

27 oz. Tang
6 oz. Sweetened lemonade mix
1 cup instant tea
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
(I would use 1 t. of the spices, because I like it really spicy.)
Just mix all ingredients together and use 1-3 heaping teaspoons in cup of hot water.
