And people who live in areas without fluoridation in their water, like Long Island very close to NYC, refuse all efforts to impose it on them.
Jamin, you will happy to know that since I moved from Fluoride Florida to Non-Fluoride Poconos, Pa., I do not get hives from the water, without $100 Shower Filters every 6 months. But I knew I wouldn't from living on Long Island before and visits back there.
I am not going to get into CIPRO on this thread, but keep up the good efforts, Jamin, because the public has the right to know and choose.
If you think fluoride is necessary for your kids teeth, then their doctor can give them a script for fluoride tabs. My daughters Pediatrician suggested that 30 years ago when we moved from NYC to LI. No thanks. Do that. That way you won't impose your views, and $100 shower filters, on others.
Water in the Poconos contains fluoride naturally - not much, but some. Maybe fluoride is not the cause of your hives.

No, SQ, I'm not a chemist...just good old common sense which goes a LONG WAY. I've met plenty missing a lot of common sense.
There is naturally occurring fluoride in all our water sources, but the stuff dumped in our water...good grief... And I know of other people who complained about itchy skin from city waters and their showers. There is natural occurring fluoride in rain.

No, common sense does not override the chemistry.
The "stuff dumped in our water" is no different from naturally occurring fluoride. It's chemistry, you see.
A lot of people have itchy skin. That does not mean it is due to fluoride.
Oh please, the STUFF dumped in our public waters is from plants and other industries waste. I don't know how many times we've talked about this. Bags of this STUFF now comes in from China to be dumped in U.S. waters.
And itchy skin could be from all the chemicals in our waters.
So many want to argue the so called greatness of this STUFF!!!!!!!

The STUFF is just chemicals, which when used for fluoridation of water produce the same fluoride found naturally. Fluoride is fluoride, no matter where it comes from. That's why chemistry is important.
Itchy skin can be caused by many things. A common cause is low humidity.
Only 2234 signatures from the entire country since last November. Not exactly a groundswell of support.
MAYBE we'll get some sleepers here to sign. Or maybe most are in love with fluoride too.
The fight against fluoridation has been going on for decades and many fighters have died fighting this cause. The pro F and govt and chemical companies are so so Powerful. $$$$$ talking all the way.

The $$$$ trails are long with the Pro folks, govt and chemical companies. Even in my own town when our anti group was fighting against it in 2006, the council members' pockets were wide open.
Politicians are on the take from small govt to the big house in D.C.
