well, thats the thing. The girls are very little maintainence, so far that is. My 10 year old, on the other hand, his playdates/sleepovers are a bit of a challenge...
My children were the opposite. If I got up late when she was a toddler, she already had the day planned. I don't think my son was allowed to make a decision about anything until he went away to the Navy. I can't wait to see her as a nurse. The patients will either get well or wish they had. LOL
I had a friend ask me how we were adjusting to our children being gone. I said, "We sit there and look at each other and ask who is going to make the decisions now that ____ is gone."

All that talk about kids reminds me of my last night.
Went to sleep at 11:15 p.m. woke at a crying DS at 2:10 a.m.
No sleep would come to him till 4:06 a.m. not even in our bed. So I gave him his milk and afterwards he slept till 7:15 a.m.
And that on a day where we went to a exhibition. All kinds of things for the house, garden, hobby etc were shown and we had a lot of fun.
For breakfast I had a bun with cream cheese. Lunch was at the fair. As hubby was playing soccer my cousin and her b/f were running around with me. DS was being shown around by my parents and their friends.
The three of us shared a strange cabbage/potatoe dish. Afterwards my cousin and me shared a piece of pizza and after that had small ice cream.
After only such small bites I was really hungry.
Had lunch with DS, hubby and my parents together. Some fresh baked bread with sausages, cheese, etc.
Cousin and b/f just left us. We had a nice TV evening and now I'm going to bed.

Have a great day!
Diana, I feel for you. I miss many things about having a baby in the house, but one of them I don't miss is lack of sleep. If my kids are sick, they do keep me up though. Once your little one sleeps through the night, it will make all the difference in the world.
Yes. She has a four year degree in Marketing, but decided she wanted to be a nurse. When she wants it she does it. She says it is really rough, but she has had some amazing things happen even in training.
She said she had one little girl come into the emergency room totally frightened, so being the person she is, she got her calmed down and took care of her. She said she went on to the next patient and that patient got O. K. and they were leaving. She said the little girls sister ran over to her and said, "If we come back to the emergency room, will you be here." She said she assured her that she would.
Jeannie, she is blonde too. Her daughter has red hair and my other granddaughter has reddish hair. I have some red haired cousins, so there must have been a red haired ancestor back there somewhere.

I love redheads. I probably mentioned already my youngest brother lives in Raleigh, red hair and freckles. It sounds like your daughter will make a wonderful nurse. Best of luck to her...

One of the threads was mentioning that a lot of people from your neck of the woods was moving to NC. They were wondering why. I wondered if it may have started by our governors wife being from NJ. I believe I read somewhere that she used to live there.
Thanks for my daughter. Keep her in your prayers. She is natured more like my husband but a little bit more so. She totally had the approval of both my father and father-in-law. They were both in-charge people and I think they saw that in her. It just seems to come naturally to her. I'm expecting great things from both my children. Isn't it great to be a mother?
You gals are wonderful mothers,I envy you all! I spend so much time for myself. I do help my mother out. But you gals do it day in and day out plus you have other things to do. I feel very small comparing to you gals.

Not true Izzy. We all make contributions in life. Your mother is very fortunate to have you. I wish I had that bond with my own mother but probably never will.
