Tuesday's "tell me what you think" food journal (exercise, diet)

Good morning! I really think we have a great group here so I would love some input from you of what, if anything you would like to add to this food journal to maybe spice it up a bit. I love it the way it is but if we have any suggestions, that would be great! A weekly recipe, health tips, exercise ideas...anything goes here so please share. Well, looks like a bit of a gloomy cool day here again in NJ. A step work-out this morning, meeting with our new realtor to sign papers, and then exhibit night at my daughter's school tonight. Tea with sugar in the raw and soymilk......happy Tuesday everyone! Jeannie

Started my day with bringing DS to the nursery. My aunt came along b/c she will pick him up in an hour. He cried pretty hard this morning and it felt strange not to comfort him and just go away. Poor baby!
Went to work by bike today. It was pretty cold this morning and my hands were a bit chilled but it was a nice bike tour. With the sun shining I expect the trip back being better.
As I didn't eat before getting to work I had a slice of buttered raisin bread right after I arrived.
At 9:30 a.m. I had a slice of sourdough bread with cream cheese.
Lunch was spaghetti bolognese (I guess I'm addicted to pasta!!!)
One of my colleagues brought a birthday cake along so I had a nice piece of that too.
Dinner should be not existent but I'm not strong willed enough...

I like the food journal too. It is neat and uncluttered I don't post when I am feeling bad about what I eat....I take that back. I often post to confess the bad things I eat! Confession is good for the soul I guess. I have been cheating a lot on WW. I have not gained, but I have been stubbornly at the same wt about 2-3 weeks. Maybe I have last a half pound. Depends on if I use my scale or the official weigh in scale at the meetings.
Post a recipe? I like that. I also like substitution ideas. After all, it was you folks who got me to eat " Make you Poop Yogurt".
Jeannie, as long as you keep being nice to all of us, you can do anything you want. I like the relaxed atmosphere too. I am back to my original food choices that I posted at the first of the year.

Maybe a tip of the day for staying on the diet. My tip for today is to turn off the TV set and get outside in the sun. It is amazing how much more I get done when I turn off the TV set.
Lunch will be: 3-4 ounces meat
vegetable--one cup cooked or 1 1/2 cups raw
Afternoon snack: fruit
Dinner: 3-4 ounces meat
vegetables to make five total vegetables for the day or more is all right
fruit
Coffee and milk with each meal.
If I am really starving and I did a lot of work that day, I sometimes have a 4 point snack and a cup of coffee and milk at night. Probably don't lose when I do this, but sometimes it keeps me from going crazy. It does not make me gain. Another fruit is really a better choice, but sometimes my stomach does not want another fruit.
I try to drink 3 fruit 2/0's during the day sometime. Love those fruit 2/0's.
I plan to go to bed early, so I will see you all tomorrow. Happy Eating!
well, I'm glad to hear everyone is happy here. I know I am. Please though, everyone and anyone feel free to throw anything in here at anytime. We all make a contribution here. After a step work-out...

and just for the record, I have my bad days also. I am a binger, and when I do its not pretty. Whats important is coming here and getting myself focused again. It really helps.
