Guess what? It's raining again. Jeannie, you should have an easy time picking out where you want to buy a house by the time you get here. Just look at the neighborhoods and see what is not under water. What else can you do with this, but make a joke? It is a laugh to keep from crying. I really hate it for those that have been so shocked by the little streams turning into lakes. We have two schools in the mountains, according to the news yesterday, that will have to be detouring the buses by miles because part of the road disappeared with a land slide. This is a normal thing that I have been hearing about since I was born. It takes a long time to fix a land slide.

Lunch: 2 slices whitewheat
2 slices ham
4 slices tomato
1 cup carrots (baby)
orange
Coffee and milk

Dinner: Mesquite chicken breast
lots of slaw with little dressing
diet jello (cherry)
coffee and milk

And guess what else? We have hurricane Hannah headed in this direction. Our worst hurricanes always start with H. (ex. Hazel and Hugo)

Jeannie, just joking. I forgot I am supposed to be nice on here. I will go on over to the political forum. I am in the right mood. Rain must make me crazy!

Just click on the Fay information. When you scroll down, it is on the right side.
There are 66 pictures of the weather in the Raleigh area. This storm covered our entire state. Charlotte was calling it a 100 year flood.

Izzy, some places have received more than 11 inches of rain in less than two days, if I remember correctly. We have one cute little weather girl that said, "I have never seen pink on this map before." She was looking at the map for the total inches of rain for one day. Fay is such a boring little storm, but she was all wet! The most interesting thing is that we still have drought conditions because of underground water levels. The whole situation is incredible to the point of comical. I don't think it is very funny to those people who have houses and cars so immersed that you can only see their tops. This is not just us. This storm has been around for more than a week. One place in Florida, I believe it was Cocoa Beach, got 30 inches of rain.

I was feeling a little bit of a whimp for not going to exercise, but you never knew when the cloud would burst and how much it would dump. I could have driven 10 miles and been caught in a flash flood. I am getting a little stir crazy, but I have been home most of the week. We got the second least rain of anyone in the metrolina area. The map had light green and then a darker green (us) then it went to several other colors. Everybody got some rain.
