Default Thursday's "welcome home!" food journal

Good morning! Today Lacey's hubby will be arriving home and hopefully a new man......Judi, please give him all of our best. Saturday morning, nice and early, our family will be headed back to NJ for a few days. Mom and Dad can work and the kids can visit my in-laws and some friends back where they grew up. Initially I was making this trip alone but really didn't want to leave the kids for a time so we decided to make this a family trip instead. So, whats on your schedule for today? Coffee with sugar in the raw and soymilk......have a fabulous Thursday everyone! Jeannie

Good morning Jeannie-how thoughtful of you-thank you. Say, that trip back will be great-that's why I'm looking forward to getting out that way. Would love nothing more than holidays with my kids, etc and being able to just jump in the car and go.

Have a safe/fun time-bet they'll be glad to see you back at work.

Normal yog/fruit/coffee.
Have an avocado that's ripe for lunch.
Dinner-have to see what the doctor has in mind for Mr. L.

Good morning, all.

Judi, just make sure he's not like us normal guys and think that "hey, I'm home, I can do all the things I want now!" Make sure he takes it slow! I tried to rush getting back to the gym after my surgery on my feet, and I'm still paying for it (bleeding through the sutures, but they're out now and healed over). We guys can be the dumbest animals on earth! lol

Breakfast was two bean/cheese breakfast burritoes.

Check back later.. y'all take care.

Good morning. I am just checking in. Beautiful day outside and I slept in while Mr. VA went to the weight room. That was nice.

I wondered about your going back just to work a weekend and then my daughter told me how much nurses make normally and for holidays. Wow. Yes, you can afford a little trip back home for that. She is just starting out too. She already got a raise. She worked hard to get there, but the way she likes to spend money, I am sure she will enjoy it. You may want to volunteer for the holidays too. LOL

Rath, if you don't like your weather, you definitely would not like North Carolina. I could actually improve on our weather. All we would have to do is move to our land in Wilkes County. It is much colder there. The only problem is that I could not take my neighbors with me. My sisters funeral made me realize that I had really moved away and I would have a hard time adjusting to the ultra conservative attitude in that area. I am very liberal beside of most of the people in that area.

well, the only thing that is hurting me about going to NJ this weekend is the fact it will be 70 degrees and sunny here on Saturday. Yes NCN, the money is very good up North and as long as I give them some hours occasionally, I can keep my position. Holidays are time and a half so New Years Day is looking pretty good right now.

I have to say, I spoke with my boss up North this morning and while we talked I heard a baby crying in the background. I really miss taking care of the little ones.

Well gang-Mr. L's home and content. We have lots of new little pill bottles lined up and I made a chart! Ugh.

Doc said they don't know if it Crohn's or was a severe inflammation of the small intestine. Mucho antibiotics for a week more.

Dinner will be meatloaf and baked sweets. His restrictions are apples, brocolli, brussels, cauliflower, very spicy.

Thank you all and many hugs.
