Our last trip we had a navigator that took us but that was a rental. We're taking our own vehicle this time. I'm going to mapquest and AAA the route for the trip back and then see what is the best route to follow. Your right NCN. When my 2 oldest were younger the three of us traveled all over. I guess I've become spoiled since I remarried. We should be fine. Judi, 95 through most of the trip has an abundence of state troopers doing radar. For my husband with a bit of a heavy foot thats not such a good thing, but for my trip, hopefully it will slow most of the travelers down a bit.

Lacey, I love to go off the beaten path too, when time permits. Sometimes those alternate routes turn out to be even better than the interstates.

Good morning all, yeah, busy time of year! Jeannie, staying out is always crazy,no matter where you are during this time, glad you have NCN,Lacey giving you tips.
I heard about a flight from Tokyo to L.A. with 330+ passengers, someone had a contageous desease and no one was allowed to get off the plane until they knew for sure what he had, scary!
I have relatives staying with me for a couple of days,so it's gonna be hectic and fun!

Go Jeannie. The only way I figured you wouldn't get the job is if they thought you were overqualified. Didn't think you needed to hear that until the good news came. That was my biggest concern though.
Went shopping after water exercises. I stayed late to jog in the water with some friends. Got a little chilled. Came home hungry as a bear and made some modified meatless chili. It consisted of 1 yellow onion, chopped; 1 cup carrot slices, cup of celery slices, the recipe called for one green bell pepper, but I only had small peppers and used 6 of them instead. Then it called for 28 oz of crushed tomatoes, I only have 14 oz. cans. So I asked Mr. VA if he wanted any because I really don't care that much for cooked tomatoes and was planning to use only one can. He said, yeah, leave the other can of tomatoes out and lets put it on a hot dog. So I boiled 3 hot dogs and we had whatever that was on them. Those were double hot, hot dogs. I had put red pepper instead of those peppers starting with a J. The recipe called for 2 cups rice and I had already cooked it, so I put that to the side and I also ate some of the whatever on top of a little rice. I made the yellow kind with flavoring in it. I don't buy those red beans so I had just planned not to use that. If I ever make this again, I will use the 28 oz. of tomatoes, the rice and 1 lb. ground beef. Those vegetables really tasted good together.
