Default Saturday's "hold your head high" Food Journal

Good morning! With all the events we have today, soccer, soccer pics, football, I'm really hoping the weather will hold up, at least until later today. Looks like it could be a wet one. So, whats everyone's plans for today? Coffee with sugar in the raw with soymilk......off to my daughter's swim practice. Happy Saturday! Jeannie

Good morning ladies.

Happy Anniversary jeannie. Do you have any special plans?

Judi- I heard somebody got into your salads. Sorry about that. Anyway I hope you have a wonderful time today.

Hubby and I busted our butts yesterday. He made a deal about trading in our motor home. We will bring it to Winston-Salem on Tuesday. Anyway we had to wash and clean the roof, the outside and then the compartments. I shampooed the carpet and cleaned and emptied the whole coach. Thankfully it was almost empty. It's insane we will be trading in a 40 foot motor home for a 24 foot van conversion. It should be fun because I will be able to drive the new one and it will be much easier just to pack up and take off.

Egg whites and fruit for breakfast.

Lentil soup/stew for lunch. I took a container out of the freezer.

Dinner- I am making a roasted chicken with veggies.

Happy Sat morning ladies and Happy Annniversary Jeannie and DH.

Yes Lisa-ticks me off, took hours to make and I hate making pot. salad. What can you do-this house not only has 6 kids but their friends all over. It will be very quiet when we get back to MN.

Breakfast-we're taking the youngest out and then have running for finishing stuff for party, list is growing.

Have a great weekend all.

Happy Happy Saturday Morning to you all too! You all have been busy!
Happy Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year.

Had a great time at the short reunion,it was surreal! afterwards,we just couldn't stop yapping! The dinner at one of the classmates was sooo good,it was very casual. I met one of my classmate at the airport,we passed by each other several times! almost called on the cell phone to check to see if it was one of us! too much food!

Just had some coffee to wake up,and cereal afterwards, tonight will be going to a Jewish Dinner,I probably gained a pound this two days,so I will try to eat less.

Good morning everyone, and again Happy Anniversary!

I've only had my cup of coffee so far, and will most likely have a yogurt for breakfast.

I have good news...since joining this wonderful little group, I've taken off 3 lbs. that have stayed off...I'm kind of doing the yo-yo thing with the 4th lb. It seems I'm always out during meal time, so I am really conscious about eating something healthy. It's just too hot to do much cooking yet...it was 104 yesterday, and it's supposed to be hotter this weekend...so I just don't feel much like cooking!

jeannie...have fun at the games!

shannon...congrats on the first new star!

lisa...good luck on your RV trade...and oh how I wish I had some to your lentil soup/stew...yummm

Lacey...enjoy the day with family...and I feel the same way about making potato salad!

Izzy...glad your mini reunion was a success!

Have a great day ladies...I'm not sure what I'm doing today. So, I'll check back...

Later...

shannon, we've all done it. I think we all need to treat ourselves on occasion anyway. My daughter tied her soccer game 2-2 and she got her first goal! My son won his football game 25-0.

lunch...

non-fat strawberry yogurt with Grapenuts

Going to a Jewish Rosh Hashanah dinner tonight, love those matzo balls, not hard to make depends how much of the egg yolk you want to use, love the cruchy ones.
Had something small like a yogurt, didn't want to eat too much at noon.

Just checking in...today wasn't too bad...

Had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays and ordered sliders with fries and salad bar.

Ate lots of salad and one slider, then brought the other slider and the fries home for hubby!

Too full for any dinner, but I will have some light ice cream for a snack!

See y'all on Monday!!! Have a lovely Sunday!
