Good morning friends and thank you for you love and caring yesterday. I never want to go thru a day like that again.

Our surgeon is an angel - everything went perfectly and then they couldn't get him to breathe in Recovery. Here I was sitting in his room thinking all was fine and they came and got me to take me to ICU. What I saw then scared me horribly-so many people working on him and then being escorted away to a waiting room for over an hour. I had phone lines on fire to our reg. doc, my kids, CrazyWorld,my sister (a nurse) and the surgeon. The surgeon got right on and told me what had happened and that it sometimes occurred and reassured me.

Don was in such distress with the vent and pain-killed me. I wanted to stay the night but they said I'd have to sleep in the waiting area!! About 4 the surgeon came in and ordered the vent removed. His numbers were perfect, his color returned. I did come home because of that-plus it was blizzard conditions here.

The surgeon called me last night and told me they had talked and he was very pleased with his breathing, etc and will be keeping him in awhile.

I called ICU and they said he was as comfortable as could be expected. Hey 3 patients and 4 nurses!

Thankfully I stopped at 6AM for eggs and toast-held me over. Last night was a grilled cheese and cole slaw-and BED!!!!!

Wow this was long!!! Thank you for the ultimate in support, you are wonderful.

Judi, wow, that must have been hell! I'm glad everything's fine so far. Sending healing vibes over to Mr. L. Hugs!!!

Early to bed yesterday as I couldn't move properly. Went to play squash with DH on Sunday and my muscles are really sore. Haven't had such an ache in ages. My back, my behind, my shins, yikes!

Anyhoo', I'm feeling better today and can move better so it's step aerobic time tonight.

2 slices of white wheat toast (one with chocolate, the other with cream cheese and reg. cheese)
some grapes
spaghetti and goulash
1 yogurt

Happy Tuesday all.

Yes, good morning and so glad Mr. L is doing better which means you are doing better too. Glad to see you back home safely, wow!

Coffee and milk
banana
vanilla yogurt

We are expecting the heat man in a couple of hours so I have to stay off the computer just in case he needs to call us. Rainy here, so I hope the ice will be gone soon. I just had the last banana and yogurt.

Hi ladies-home early. He was moved from ICU around noon and looks wonderful. The nurses are amazed at the way he has recovered and after washing down he was settled in his chair foinf crosswords. The difference from yesterday is amazing.

And get this-they took his appendix also-a BONUS!

Lunch was chicken gumbo-very spicy-soup.
Dinner-deli turkey, provolone cheese on a roll, cole slaw.

Good evening. Well, Mr. L won't have to have his appendix out again. That is so funny. Sometimes getting oxygen can cause you to look so much better. I hate that grey look we older people can get sometimes.

Dinner will be a broken up partial mesquite chicken breast--all gone and threw the bag away.
Tossed salad of lettuce, onion, cucumber, and shredded carrots
Texas 5 cheese toast--that will be what holds me tonight
pear
Coffee and milk

Have a good night.

I had my appendix out when I was 5 years old. I had an emergency, those days in the 50's it was slow. Long story short,if told by my mom would be long. but she said I almost died.
Lunch time I went to IHOP. Haven't been there for quite a long time. Had pancakes of course with nuts and bananas, coffee. It hasn't changed much

Dinner will be some sardines, tomatoes, lettuce. herb tea.

I am glad things are settling down with Lacey. Prayers are great!
