Smile Plano ZIP opinions?

I've posted before but I'm looking at these 3 zips in Plano for potential moves in the future - 75023, 75074, 75075. We would be moving closer to hubby's job off of GB Tpke. and Shiloh.
We have 2 boys under 4 and I'm wondering which of these zips or areas would offer the most as far as libraries, close to shopping - Target, etc., and nice parks but still be within 5-10 minutes for hubby to drive to work.

I've already looked into the Firewheel/North Garland area and I like it a lot but I want to compare with Plano areas.

We'd want to rent a house but nothing more than $1250ish/month. Any thoughts or opinions?

Moved from 75023 last year - border streets were Indep and Custer, Legacy and Spring Creek. Don't know much about rentals, but lived there for 8 years and loved it. Jack Carter park/pool is walking distance, so is Plano Dog Park. Once kiddos are school age they feed to Carlisle Elem and Schimelphineg MS, and from our neighborhood could walk to both, only 1 low-mod traffic neighborhood street to cross. 2 libraries equal distance, more or less; we could walk to schim library using hike/bike trails - our neighborhood was adjacent to the hike/bike system - 5 miles w/o crossing a street gets you to On the Border restaurant at 15th street. Kroger was 5 min away, Tom Thumb a little further. 2 Supertargets - Tollway and Park or Stonebriar. Plano is Mecca for kids; bounce house places, pools, laser tag, etc etc etc.

We relocated to San Antonio for husbands work; I miss Plano a lot.

You could find houses in that range in all three zip codes. 75074 is the east side of Plano, older more diverse, but there are still some very good areas once you get east of Jupiter/Shiloh or north of Parker. 75023 and 75075 mainly feed into Plano Senior High zone. Firewheel is the new part of Garland, not bad area either.

Captain - I assume this was addressed to me? We live in the hill country just outside San Antonio. I love the landscape, plant and animal life here. I like having some room, as compared to Plano....we have an acre. But moving is hard; we lived in Plano 8 years. The conveniences of Plano are missing; we don't have everything only 10 minutes away. And having only HEB....that was a major adjustment. But I like the city, in general.

Thank you all for the help! Looks like whether we go for Plano or Firewheel/North Garland area, we'll be doing fine

To complete the thread hijack - an 'HEB' is the local monopoly grocery store in San Antonio. The only game in town, except Walmart and some Super Targets (not many, and none by me). They don't double or triple coupons....I've lived all over Texas, but this is the first time to not have at least some choice in grocery stores. One of the hardest things to get used to.

HEB is more of a southern Texas chain, to my knowledge. They are all over Houston as well as San Antonio, Austin, and Beaumont. They have a big ad at Minute Maid Park in Houston too. I think it stands for "Here, Everything's Better."
