I have had the fish tacos at El Fenix; they are actually pretty good!

TGIF use to have some very good fish taco's until they took them off the menu. Like Dave says the secret is in the sauce.

I like to make my own at home; I experiment with various sauces but I will also use Joe T. Garcia's medium salsa. Delicious.

The sauce thats best is made in a blender with mayo, sour creme, tomatoes, cilantro, and several other spices. Google fish taco sauce and you will see many varieties to try out.

I never liked Wahoos. Terrible rolled taco filling & don't like their rice either.

My brother swear by Rubio's fish tacos... Unfortunately I don't like the scaled creatures so I haven't tried any fish tacos to recommend here. I did like the shrimp taco at Fuzzy's.

Rex's seafood at Lover's and Inwood has good ones. But man, they are difficult to find here, otherwise. Uncle Julio's does some decent ones. The new Rusty Taco at Greenville and Lover's has some decent ones.

Mi cocina does some decent ones as well.

Baja fresh - - if you like frozen. By that I mean, no.

There is a great place in Austin, that came from CA, called Wahoo. I wish there was one up here.

I am moving to either Oxnard, San Fran area or Portland in two days. Looking forward to more seafood options.
The 'Nard!! Why are you moving to Oxnard? I lived in Camarillo before moving here. Nice area.

I've had Wahoo's food once and didn't like it. Never had Baja Fresh's fish tacos. Del Taco is great when you're drunk at 1 in the morning. I would not eat any fish product from them though.

What about like hole in the wall Mariscos style mexican restaurants?

Berryhill Baja Grill
.
We used to eat at Berryhill a lot when my husband had a job in Houston. It was good and cheap. It was nice to have something like this in a close-in neighborhood (River Oaks) near where my DH's apartment was. Unfortunately, it's too far of a drive for us from White Rock Lake area.

I just wish we had Rubio's here in TX. I have to go and enjoy whenever I'm in Las Vegas or CA. Theirs are by far the best!!!

Oh! thats right down the street from us. We used to eat at the Chaat Cafe there until the last time we went and saw a "Lock-Out" notice on the door, apparently they didn't pay their rent.

My wife wouldn't let us go eat at Berryhill because her old roommate ate there once and didn't like it. I say we're going to have to try it again.
