One of the few things I missed about California. Fish Tacos. Del Taco had them, most small Mexican food places had them, but I can't seem to find any good chains out here that have them.

Tell me... where are the fish tacos here?

Long John Silvers. Just kidding. Baja Fresh in Las Colinas has fish tacos.

Why chains?

I have no idea where you are located, but the very best I've ever had in the area, are at a Cajun restaurant in Terrell - Fat Katz.

El Fenix has them(Fort Worth locations) and they are pretty good. Haven't really found them in other places....yet. Tijuana had the best I ever tasted.

I make my own. And I catch my own fish too. Catfish and crappie make awesome fish tacos. The sauce is the key to making a good fish taco though.

I was thinking of chains specifically so that there are options available regardless of what side of the metroplex I am on. Single locations are good too, I was just wondering if there were chains.
I had forgotten about Baja Fresh, I didn't realize they were out here, in the year i've lived here I haven't seen one I guess.

I think there's only one Baja Fresh in the area. Here's the info:
7601 N. Macarthur Blvd #110
Irving, TX 75063
Tel: (469) 420-9400

The fish tacos here are awful!!! We just returned from Tulum where I eat fish tacos everyday just to get my fill. Around here most are made with tilapia or catfish - just nasty!! Rusty Taco has a semi-decent fish taco (on Greenville south of Lover's); I forget what the fish is, but it isn't tilapia or catfish.

Flying Fish has some decent catfish tacos. It's similar but different (corn meal coating) from CA fish tacos, it's not like Wahoo's or anything. I'm not a huge fish taco person so I haven't really looked for them.
