I would want to get a better handle on jobs before buying. Most of your areas are in Tarrant County, except for Frisco, and if you find an IT job in Richardson that commute will be huge.

Great advice. Definitely get the job first. Also, use the time on the front end to rent and look around and get a feel for different areas. There are numerous areas that are excellent all over the Metroplex (Tarrant/Collin/Dallas, etc.), so you'll have plenty of choices once you find work. Also, there is no urgency in the DFW housing market, so take your time homes will be there when your ready. PM me if you want an excellent Realtor for this side of the Metroplex (between NDT and 75).

be very careful. The Buehlers with Keller Williams sell a lot of homes but I haven't used them. Their signs are everywhere though.
