Okay, okay, y'all! Maybe we can all agree that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder!"

And that if we really look, we can find beauty most anywhere.

Maybe we can all agree to shut up about which state is the most beautiful, whose mother is the most beautiful, whether the Mona Lisa is more beautiful than Whistler's Mother, etc.

The traditional purpose for comments like "my state is more beautiful than yours", or "your ship is uglier than mine", is to start a bar fight. Nothing else.

Only if the Plano soccer moms tie one hand behind their backs! And it's still a close call!

Hmmmmmmm... in soccer, you don't use your hands. So what if the Plano soccer moms wear a ball and chain? Even the odds?

Tell me then, do you honestly think Prairie country is beautiful ?
I didn't say I didn't like it, because I do. But a thing of beauty ? Nope.
Now Dallas & Houston have attractive skylines and other impressive architectural attributes that are visually appealing, but of
course that's not a matter of natural beauty.

Yes, IT IS a thing of beauty. I've been on flatter plains that what can be found here in North Texas (try the wheat fields of Kansas) and there is nothing like seeing the sunrise or set for miles and miles and miles. As far as the eye can see the horizon and the whole entire world stretches out in front of you. Much like sitting on the beach and staring endlessly out into the open waters. Or better yet, being on a boat (not a HUGE cruise ship) far enough out that one can not see land nor any other human being or manmade object................... it is TRULY something to behold. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To me it's beautiful because I like big sky. I felt claustrophobic the entire time I lived in Georgia. My kids too. My husband didn't, but he was raised among trees like that.

I think there is beauty everywhere--Georgia is pretty. It just depends on what you are looking for.
